Extraction and bottling are done in a certified laboratory. All batches undergo microbiological and quantitative analysis to ensure product quality and consistency. Our powdered mushrooms and extracts are made from the mushroom fruiting body, not the mycelium. Delivery times are short, and prices are fair given the product quality.

There are different methods for extracting compounds from plants and fungi. For example, chamomile tea is an extract obtained by infusing the plant in hot water. Olive oil is obtained by pressing the olives and separating the oil from the resulting juice. Lion’s Mane tincture is made by infusing the mushroom in a water-alcohol mixture that is then evaporated to concentrate the solution. This hydro-alcoholic solution carries water-soluble substances from Lion’s Mane (such as beta-glucans) and some terpenes, which are oily substances. Our Lion’s Mane oil is like olive oil; it contains only the oily part of the mushroom, which is rich in terpenes.

Any adverse effect from consuming a food or preparation cannot be called a side effect. Some people may be intolerant to mushrooms and experience gastrointestinal reactions. There are no reports of anyone being hospitalized due to consuming Lion’s Mane or its preparations, such as an allergic reaction similar to seafood allergy.
